About

I started school at BCIT for interior design in September 2017, since then I have completed my certificate and I recently completed my Diploma in Residential Interiors. I had the opportunity to work at West One Design as part of the completion of my diploma. I took quickly from my knowledge at BCIT and was well equipped for the duties required to be effective as an Interior Designer.

In high school I took drafting and was part of the fashion program. That is where my passion for design started, I learned the basics of fashion design, and architecture. Later on, my drafting course focused on interior design and I flourished with the information.

Interior design is such an inspiration to me because your environment has such a large impact on you. I want to be able to create spaces that make myself and others feel good. I’ve lived in some small and poorly laid-out spaces, and it just makes life difficult in so many aspects.

India Mahdavi is one of my inspirations, she describes her style as contemporary in an eclectic and nomadic manner, with an oriental pop from the west. Her spaces are packed with lots of patterns and materials, but in such an elegant way that it doesn’t look overwhelming.
